Before completing the Level 2, Level 3, NVQ3, AM2 qualifications in 2012 to become an Electrician, I'd trained as a Plasterer and had been on six home renovation projects from start to finish. Since then, I have gained further experience in home renovation but for the most part I worked for the largest electrical contractors in the UK where I became a senior site supervisor. My duties included but were not limited to training apprentices during their electrical apprenticeship programme, managing busy new build home electrical contracts, adhering to tight deadlines, organising materials and workload, travelling, wiring full electrical installations into show homes, sales centres, apartments, large houses and carrying out a full test & inspection on every electrical installation that I installed. I have completed an asbestos awareness course, a Site Supervisor Safety Training course, won numerous NHBC quality awards and I was the sole Installation Electrician on a busy David Wilson Homes site that won the most prestigious NHBC Supreme award in the Large House Building sector in 2015. I continue to learn new skills and since starting Budworth Property Maintenance & Electrical Services I have joined the NICEIC who assess my electrical installation and testing work annually. Each year an inspector from the NICEIC will ask me to produce them with a job that I have issued certification on therefore it is imperative that I keep up to date with changes in the regulations and maintain customer relations. By logging into their online CPD classes and using their certification software, I can produce electrical certificates that conform to modern day standards. Since becoming a Sole Trader I am asked on numerous occasions if I know other qualified and reliable tradesmen for various tasks therefore I have a complied a separate page where a select few tradesmen who I believe are extremely genuine and reliable can be contacted if and when a job calls for it.
